Mid-tops give an artist more shoe to paint. The AF1 Mid is the silhouette we lead with — same Bruce Kilgore lineage as the low, but with an ankle strap and an extra panel of leather rising above the collar. That extra real estate is where split-pair concepts and full character work breathe: a Deadpool on one shoe and a Wolverine on the other, a portrait that runs from toe to ankle, a livery that needs the full vertical to read. - How much does a custom mid-top hand-painted pair cost in India?
- Hand-painted AF1 Mid editions start at ₹11,999 for the base pair plus paint. Most studio editions sit between ₹15,999 and ₹22,999 depending on detail and surface area.
- What's the advantage of a mid-top over a low-top for custom paint?
- More surface to paint above the collar. That extra panel is where split-pair concepts (e.g. Deadpool x Wolverine) and full vertical compositions land best — there's room for the artwork to breathe.
- Can you paint a split-pair character commission on AF1 Mids?
- Yes — the Mid is the silhouette we recommend for split-pair work. Send the two characters and our artists sketch a layout that reads as one piece when the pair is stood side-by-side.
- Will the paint hold on the AF1 Mid's ankle strap?
- Yes. The strap is leather and takes Angelus paint cleanly. We seal the strap separately so it flexes through regular wear.
- How long does a custom AF1 Mid commission take?
- 2–4 weeks of paint in the Mumbai studio for studio editions; 3–4 weeks for a fresh commission. Add 3–5 business days for shipping in India.
